Why use PDFLad to convert PDF to Excel

Your file stays private

Most online converters upload your file to their server. PDFLad does the work in your browser, so nothing you convert PDF to Excel ever leaves your device.

Free, with no catches

No sign-up, no email address, no watermark and no limit on how many files you convert.

Numbers you can calculate with

Values like 1,250.00 or (300) are stored as real numbers, not text, so SUM and other formulas work straight away.

Frequently asked questions

Is PDF to Excel free?

Yes. There's no cost, no account and no watermark.

Is my PDF kept private?

Yes. The PDF is read by your browser on your device and is never uploaded, which matters for bank statements and financial reports.

How accurate are the tables?

Columns are detected from where the text sits on the page. Simple tables convert well. Merged cells and cells with several lines of text may need a quick check afterwards.

Can I convert a scanned PDF to Excel?

Not yet. Scanned PDFs contain images rather than text, so they need text recognition (OCR), which PDFLad doesn't offer yet.

Can I open the file in Google Sheets?

Yes. Upload the .xlsx file to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets.
